When measuring wiper pressure levels on original wiper assemblies, the rear wiper blade was the one with the least pressure of all. No wonder the cleaning is not as well executed in the back compared to the front.  Luckily, the rear part of the vehicle is not subject to as much wind lift as the frontal area.  Although many drivers neglect the rear glass cleaning, it is nevertheless important to be aware of what is happening behind you especially at night, or in highway traffic conditions when you want to judge the distance of the 18-wheeler behind you.

Adding a Sure Wipe spring will correct this lack of pressure on the rear blade and give an excellent cleaning of the rear glass. The Sure Wipe spring application is an excellent way to solve the rear wiper problem.

As a rule of thumb, if the rear wiper arm is less than 1 1/8” thick, there should be not problem installing the Universal spring. On thin and narrow wiper arms, you may need to increase the pressure output (unwind the spring), or purchase a BL or R spring model. Although, the Sure Wipe spring will not fit on extra-thick and larger size rear wiper arms made of plastic, it is proven effective on all other types of wiper arms.
